About Chantel Smith
Chantel was born and raised in New Jersey. She worked as a Registered Nurse for over seven years providing exceptional patient centered care. From the beginning of her career, Chantel has always had a passion for gynecology and obstetrics.
In 2022, she became a Postpartum Nurse in the Mother Baby Unit at Virtua Voorhees. During her time there, she provided culturally sensitive care by respecting diverse family values and traditions related to the childbirth and postpartum period. She promoted breastfeeding success by providing lactation support. She educated new parents on safe care for their newborn. Also, she was dedicated to improving patient recovery rates by providing comprehensive postpartum care and education to new mothers.
Her amazing experiences as a Postpartum Nurse, led her to pursue her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania, where she graduated in 2024. Chantel is currently a member of Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society and the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health.
When not caring for her patients, she enjoys spending time with her family and loves travelling!
