About Dr. Claydon
Originally from California, Dr Claydon attended UCLA where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Physiologic Science. She attended the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond (now called Virginia Commonwealth School of Medicine), completed a residency in OBGYN at UCLA Medical Center then moved to New Jersey where she completed a 3-year board approved fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (now called Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery).
Her practice focuses on improving the quality of life for women with urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse.
Dr Claydon has a passion for teaching and quality in health care and brings this to her practice style. She was on faculty at the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University for 6 years, then an adjuvant clinical assistant professor for University of Virginia School of Medicine for 4 years. She continued teaching OB-GYN residents and medical students when moving back to the northeast. She is a peer reviewer for several scientific journals dedicated to Urogynecology, has been instrumental in creating national quality metrics around treating women with urinary incontinence, participates in research and volunteers with the society of gynecologic surgery.
In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, theater and spending time with her husband and golden retriever.
